The British Oasis Academy has been awarded a certificate as a Cambridge International School after a year and a half of rigorous preparations and planning. This was concluded recently with a visit by an official of the British Council. Thus, the institution has received the official reference number NG551 confirming the prestigious status of a Cambridge Associate school. By this accreditation, the British Oasis has been approved to offer the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary Level and Advanced Level (AS/A Level). The British Oasis has now become part of a learning community of over 10,000 Cambridge schools in more than 160 countries
Upon the conclusion of the accreditation exercise by the National Examinations Council (NECO) and the summary report giving the school full accreditation to offer the NECO SSCE, officials of the examination body commended management, staff and students of the school for the painstaking efforts and in maintaining high standards in the school. The officials after inspecting the school facilities and observing teachers in the classrooms including a scrutiny of all the statutory and teaching and learning records observed that the school has got all it takes to be in the league of top performing schools in the country. They noticed the serene environment and stated that students have a conducive atmosphere to learn and face their studies appropriately.
After the successful operation of the junior secondary school with the presentation of students for both the National Examinations Council (NECO) BECE and Educational Research Centre (ERC) BECE for some years, the Educational Secretariat has granted permission for the British Oasis to run the Senior Secondary School for a period of 4 years.
