A formal Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics 1999-2000) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University,Professor Ale is currently the Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of Council, Plateau State University. He obtained the West African School Certificate in 1966, capped it with the Higher School Certificate in 1968 before proceeding to the University to obtain B.Sc degree in Mathematics.
Professor Ale proceeded for his Doctoral Research Programme in 1974 and was awarded a Ph.D in Mathematics in 1978.He taught at Crowder Memorial College (1972-1973); Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1973-1985); Federal University of Technology, Yola (1982) as Associate Professor of Mathematics and Mathematics Education (1983); Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi (1988 - 2002) as Professor of Mathematics and Mathematics Education and the Director General/Chief Executive of National Mathematical Centre Abuja (2002 to June 2012).
Professor Ale has authored over 100 papers and textbooks and served as external examiner to various institutions in Nigeria including Kaduna Polytechnic, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, University of Ilorin, Nigerian Defence Academy, University of Jos, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Anambra State University of Technology.He has examined over one hundred and sixty (160) theses, including eleven (11) Ph.D.
Dr. Ndukwe was a former Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (2000 - 2010). He is a professional Communications Engineer, Corporate and Public Service Executive with over 35yearsofinternationalexperienceinthe Telecommunications industry, majority of which have been in senior management positions in private multi-national telecommunications enterprises and in Government telecom policy and regulation.
Dr. Ndukwe is a graduate of the University of Ife and an alumnus of the Lagos Business School, a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (FAEng). Dr. Ndukwe also holds an honorary Doctor of Technology (D.Tech) degree from University of Technology Owerri and double Doctor of Science (D.Sc) degrees from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
He had a distinguished career in the private sector which started with employment with Radio Communications Nigeria (RCN) Limited in 1976
Professor Olu Obafemi Currently the director of research, National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Jos. Olu Obafemi, Ph.D, is a Professor of English and Dramatic Literature in University of Ilorin. He has worked variously as Head, Modern European Languages (1990-1993), Dean, Student Affairs (1993-1997), member of the Governing Council of the University of Ilorin (1990-1998) and member of the Governing Board of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (2000-2008).
A prolific playwright, novelist, poet, literary and theatre scholar, Professor Olu Obafemi has published fourteen scholarly books, fifteen creative books (play, poetry and a novel) and over sixty journal articles in national and international outlets. Some of his books of scholarship include the landmark study on Nigeria theatre titled “Contemporary Nigerian Theatre, Politics and Aesthetics in Nigeria Theatre; and Aesthetics and ideology in Nigerian Theatre”.
Professor Obafemi holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (Second Class Upper Division) A.B.U. Zaria (1975), Master of Arts Degree in English, University of Sheffield, and Doctor of Philosophy in English (Dramatic Literature) of the School of English, University of Leeds (1981).
Ganiyu Musa an Insurance Specialist and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and member, Chartered Insurance Institute, Nigeria and London.
Currently the Group Managing Director/CEO of Cornerstone Insurance Plc, Mr. Ganiyu Musa had formerly served as Principal of African Capital Alliance and Deputy Managing Director at Africa Reinsurance Corporation.
Mr. Musa has over 25 years working experience in Pannell Kerr Forster, a firm of Chartered Accountants, Arthur Andersen and African Reinsurance Corporation (Africa Re) from where he joined ACA in June 2011.
Oladele Oyelola was a former Executive Director (Northern Region) and Chief Financial Officer, First Bank of Nigeria.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, member of Chartered Institute of Taxation and honorary member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Oladele has a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a Master of Science degree specializing in Finance. He is an Alumnus of Executive Education of several world-class Business Schools including Stanford Business School, USA (Strategy and Organisation), Wharton Business School, (Mergers and Acquisitions), INSEAD France (Advanced Management Program), IMD, Lausane Switzerland (Change Management) and Lagos Business School (Senior Management Program). He also did his leadership training at Center for Creative Leadership, San Diego, USA.
Oladele’s extensive experience spanned over two decades in Business Consulting Relationship Building/Management, Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Risk Management and Controls. He started his career with Arthur Andersen before joining International Merchant Bank (IMB) to commence his Banking Career. He joined Diamond Bank at inception and worked in various capacities as the Head, Corporate Banking, Regional Manager, Branch Coordinator and General Manager. Oladele Oyelola is happily married with Children.
Olori Maria Bisi Olobayo had Olori Maria Bisi Olobayo had her primary education in St. Monica’s convent boarding school from where she graduated to St.Monica’s college Kabba for her secondary education.In pursuit of her education career, she was in Uyo college of Education between 1973-1976 for her National Certificate in Education. She proceeded to University of Ilorin for an Honours Degree in English/Education and later crowned it with a Master’s degree in English Literature in the same University in 1994.
Olori Maria got married to Oba (Dr.) M.F.S Olobayo, the Obaro of Kabba,a 1st class traditional ruler,Kogi state in the year 1975 and they are blessed with seven wonderful children. She started her teaching career in Government High school, Ilorin in 1977 to 1985 when she got transferred to Kabba Teachers’ college as a result of her husband becoming the Obaro of Kabba in Kogi state. She has been in the teaching profession where she has helped to inculcate knowledge into numerous school children.
In 1996, she was appointed as the Vice Principal of Government Science Secondary School Okedayo,a position she occupied till 25th May 2005 when she was made the principal of St. Monica’s College Kabba thus becoming the very first old girl of the college to be so appointed. She has meritoriously occupied this position as her tenure has been characterized with numerous monumental academic and infrastructural developments.Olori Maria B. Olobayo was instrumental to the formation of the vibrant Old Girls association of her Alma- Mater that was inaugurated in her house.
